Let’s talk!

Greetings and welcome!

Hello! My name is Federico Grasa González and I´m from Marbella (Malaga).

I obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malaga in 2009 and the title of Specialist in General Surgery and Digestive System through the MIR (Internal Resident Physician) route at the Punta de Europa Hospital in Algeciras (Cádiz) in 2015.

I have achieved extensive and rigorous training in all areas of my specialty, focusing mainly my efforts and interests on the use of minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic surgery of the gallbladder, inguinal and colorectal hernia.

Other areas in which I have emphasized my care work are abdominal wall surgery, proctological surgery, endocrine surgery and the comprehensive management of the diabetic foot.

I have completed my education and training in Emergency and Emergency surgery, as equivalent to Trauma Surgery in other European and American countries, being endorsed by the prestigious international courses ATLS (Advance Trauma Life Support) of the American College of Surgeons and DSTC (Definitive Surgical Trauma Care) IATSIC (International Association for Trauma Surgery and Intensive Care), a subsidiary of the ISS-SIC (International Society of Surgery -Societé Internationale de Chirurgie) based in Switzerland.

My professional experience as a Surgeon began at the University Hospital of Ceuta (Ceuta) during the period 2015-2017, where I coordinated and taught the Theoretical-Practical Course on the Management of the Polytraumatized Patient.

Nowadays I am developing my healthcare activity at the Hospital de la Serranía de Ronda (Málaga) since 2017, where I combine my healthcare work with teaching and training, giving a large number of theoretical and practical courses (Diabetic Foot Care, Laparoscopic Surgery of the Inguinal Hernia, Minor Surgery for Primary Care Physicians, Theoretical-practical course on the management of the Patient with Serious Trauma …).

Currently I have the privilege of being responsible for the Training of the Surgery Service of the Serranía de Ronda Hospital, representing the figure of Tutor of Resident Physicians of General Surgery and the Digestive System of the Serranía de Ronda Hospital since 2020. I am also responsible as Teaching Collaborator of the Resident Physicians of Family and Community Medicine and Teaching Collaborator of the Medicine Students of the Faculty of Malaga who carry out their period of practical training in the specialty of Surgery since 2017.

I am a member of several Committees and Subcommittees & nbsp; Hospital Serranía de Ronda (Committee on Tumors and Subcommittee on Digestive Tumors, Subcommittee Breast Cancer, Teaching and Hospital Training Unit, Patient Safety Committee, Severe Trauma and Critical Patient Committee and Hospital Infections and Antibiotic Policy Committee) , as well as various Scientific Associations (Spanish Association of Surgeons (AEC), Andalusian Association of Surgeons (ASAC), Spanish Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery (SECLA)).
